Christmas 2010

This is the 2nd Christmas Sam and I spent at the Bungalow. This year we even splashed out on a tree (in the xmas sales), played Beer pong and had a BBQ xmas lunch in the snow. While the guys were putting the shorts and jandels on the BBQ caught on fire..we did manage to save some of the meat before the gas bottle starting leaking. Luckily the girls ( Sophie & Leanne) had it all under control in the kitchen. Fun day!!!

Cardiff

Last weekend we took off to the capital of Wales, CARDIFF!!! We arrived mid morning and had a look around the nice city. Even saw the All Blacks getting off their bus. In the afternoon we headed to Millennium stadium to watch the abs take on Wales. The atmosphere was incredible, and we won the game which was good too!! After the game we spent a few hours in the great pubs of Cardiff with some friends from our Croatia trip and our house mate-Andy. On Sunday we did a fantastic tour of the stadium. We went in the Welsh dressing room, out the players tunnel onto the field and up stairs to the corporate boxes. We spent the arvo around the shops and returned back to the snowy Bungalow late afternoon.

Netball Liverpool

2 weekends ago, Sam and I travelled up north to Liverpool to watch the World Netball Series. It was an awesome tournament of the best netball teams in the world (NZ, Aussie, SA, England, Jamaica and Malawi). The games are fast and a few rules are different. The teams select 1 quarter as a power play, meaning they score double points. New Zealand were very lucky to be crowned champions, playing the final against England. We had a lovely weekend. Liverpool is a beautiful city.

Linkin Park

On Thursday, Sam and I took off to London to go to the Linkin Park concert. We stayed at a hostel near Waterloo station and took a boat along the Thames river to the O2 arena. The concert was awesome, they played a good selection of their old and new songs. We were lucky to be near the front too. Great night!!!

Our new car!!

Unfortunately our Rav 4 failed it MOT (warrant) and was going to cost to much to fix, so we purchased a cheap new Hyundai Lantra estate. It seems to run well, just has a wee dent in the side.

Esti's stay

This weekend we had Esther to stay (my school friend from Dio). It was so neat to have a great catch up as she has been travelling Europe for the past 3 weeks. She enjoyed milking the cows yesterday and driving us through the biggest puddles she could find on the motorbike. Again we showed he our lovely local pub, the Carriers.

Visitors to the Bunaglow

Last weekend we had Edd, Rosie and Silvia come and visit us on the farm. They are friends we met on our Egypt trip and live in Bristol. We took them on a full farming experience followed by our local pub for tea and drinks out in Bath. Was so lovely to have them stay, hope to see them again soon :)
