Scootering!!!

One of our days in Ibiza, we hired a small scooter. It was so much fun as we scooted around parts of the island. We swam at 5 different beaches, ended up going through tunnels and on the motorway!! We ran out of petrol at one stage but managed to roll our way to the petrol station...it only cost 4 euro to fill from empty!!! Great fun!!!

Ibiza clubs

The main attraction in Ibiza are the massive night clubs which don't close till 8am!! I took a few sneaky photos as cameras weren't allowed.

La Tomatina

The main reason for our trip was of course...La Tomatina, the biggest food fight in the world. We took the coaches from our campsite to a small town outside Valencia, Brunol. We found a good spot near the 'ham' pole. This is a 10m high pole which is covered with slippery ham fat with a leg of ham at the top. People try to climb to the top. If they are successful, the crazy festival begins. This year, 1 person made it to the top (with help) for the first time in 7 years. Provided great entertainment in the heat. At 11am, 6 huge trucks pushed through the mosh and dumped the tomato's...what else can I say...it was messy!!!Afterwards the locals hosed us down before we took the buses back to campsite for well deserved swims and showers. Great time :)

New Friends!!

We spent 2 nights having drinks at the campsite and 1 night we all headed into Valencia in our yellow tops. We took over the city with about 1200 people in the fanatics tour. Had a great time, mostly Aussies on our tour.

Valencia

A week ago, Sam and I flew from Bournemouth to the beautiful city of Valencia. We joined our Fanatics group and made our way out to the campsite. We joined the hop on/off bus to see a bit more of the city. It had such amazing buildings, modern ones built around the millennium and lovely older ones too. We had a look around where they held the America's cup and the Formula 1. The top left picture is the bull fighting arena (not the Colosseum) and the bottom left picture is the train station.
